Before ordering to determine its rated voltage, working voltage and wiring method, sometimes the working voltage is not good, electric heating element will soon burn out, some customers will ask if the voltage can be reduced to extend the service life of electric heating element?

Let's take an example:

What is the difference between 220V and 1000W electric heating element respectively connected to 110V, 220V and 380V voltage?

According to the formula: voltage * voltage = resistance * power, when an electric heating element after its resistance is constant value, this time the voltage and power is directly proportional.

So let's figure out its resistance first:

220 * 220/1000 = 48.4 ohms

When it is connected to a voltage of 110V, the power is:

110 * 110/48.4 = 250 w

When it is connected to the voltage of 380V, the power is:

380 * 380/48.4 = 2983 w

From the above calculation, we can know that when the 220V/1000W electric heating element is connected to the 110V voltage, the power of the electric heating element is 250W, and the power is reduced by 4 times. At 380V, the power is 2983W, which is three times the original power.

We all know that the life of the electric heating element is closely related to the surface load of the electric heating tube. The greater the surface load, the shorter the service life of the electric heating tube. Therefore, it can be known that the electric heating tube can prolong the service life by reducing the voltage.
