In 1859, Mr. Simpson invented the world's first electric heater element and obtained a patent for this product. The electric heating elementt is composed of a  metal wire coil which is armored in a metal tube, and the metal tube and metal wire are insulated with ceramic insulating materials to become a heating body, which is our well-known electric heater.

Due to the lack of certain process equipment at that time, this invention cannot be applied, and there is no suitable resistance wire as a resistance type heating material, and the material that can be used is only iron wire. However, as the resistivity of the iron wire is very small, it is difficult to make high voltage and the resistance wire made of precious metals is expensive.

The manufacture and development of heating element did not begin to gain momentum until 1910, when the United States had already produced nickel-chromium alloy, which had high temperature resistance and high resistivity properties, and artificial inorganic insulation materials were already available. Since then, the basic conditions for the production of electric heater element have been met.

The real development of electric heater was during the First World War, when the main process  was developed by the powder method, and in 1918, the United States General Electric Company provided a patent on the production (Generalelectric of USA), which is composed of metal tubes. In the tube is the concentric position of the heating wire spiral circle, around is powdered insulation material.

But this approach didn't work either, because there were no suitable machines or ways of production. Until the mid-fifties in Europe, the method used was still quite complex, resulting in expensive costs, and only after (Bulten Kanthal) the promotion of the United States (OAKLEY) the original design of the machine manufacturing for the American market, the application and popularity of his electric heating element was promoted throughout the world.
