As the magnesium oxide powder in the heater element will absorb water, and the heating tube port is not completely sealed, the water will enter the electric heater element after being placed in a humid environment for a long time. At this time, the magnesium oxide powder is damp, so the electric heater element will not heat up.
Analysis of the situation:
1. Measure if there is a resistance value, if no is broken.
2.If there is a resistance value, then see if there is no leakage phenomenon, use a megohm meter (insulation resistance meter) to measure the insulation resistance value, (the greater the insulation resistance value, the better the insulation) if the insulation resistance value is relatively small, it indicates that the magnesium oxide powder in the heating element may be affected by moisture, resulting in weak insulation of the electric heater!
Solution:
(1) Put the electric heater element in the oven to dry and dehumidify the magnesium oxide powder.
(2) Use low voltage to power the heating element for a while, which also plays a role in dehumidification.
