The causes of cartridge heater can be as follows:
1.Improper fit: If the heat can not be dissipated to the outside of the sheath,the temperature will rise until it is breakdown.
2.High watt density:the cartridge should work under the normal voltage,if the voltage exceed the range,the watt density of the heating element will increase,the heat can not be dissipated to the outside of the sheath and lead to the working stop.
3.Moisture:Cartridge heaters can experience life-shortening due to hydraulic fluids, materials, and moisture than any other factor.
If the moisture influence,you can use low voltage to start it a moment to remove the moisture.
4.Too high temperature and excessive movement.
When mounting your heater to moving machinery, make sure you provide it with adequate insulation.The heating element should be as stable as possible, or at least protected from excessive movement.
