Titanium corrosion resistant heater element is made by a titanium tube as the shell, along the center of the tube axial distribution of electric thermal alloy wire, the gap filled with compact magnesia with good insulation and thermal conductivity, both ends of the tube mouth sealed with silica gel or ceramic, it is specially used in high corrosion liquid.

 

Why choose titanium as the material of the heating element?
Outstanding corrosion resistance: The surface of titanium immediately forms a stable and dense titanium oxide (TiO₂) protective film, which gives it extremely strong corrosion resistance in oxidizing media and neutral media. Its performance is far superior to stainless steel even in environments containing chloride ions (such as seawater, salt water, and moist chlorine gas).

High mechanical strength: High strength with relatively light weight.

Good heat resistance: It maintains stability within a wide temperature range.

 

Anti corrosion titanium heating element features light weight, high strength and superior mechanical properties. This product demonstrates superior corrosion resistance compared to stainless steel in humid air and seawater media. It has strong resistance to pitting corrosion, acid corrosion and stress corrosion, and can effectively resist the erosion of media such as alkali, chlorides, nitric acid and sulfuric acid. Its smooth surface property can reduce the fouling coefficient, and combined with the quenching treatment process, it ensures the durability of the structure.

 

Titanium heating element is made of TA1/TA2 pure titanium or titanium alloy as the main material and are precisely processed into spiral, serpentine and other shapes. It undergoes quenching treatment to strengthen its structure, which can significantly enhance mechanical strength and durability.

Corrosion resistance: In seawater medium, its resistance to pitting corrosion is over 40% higher than that of stainless steel. It has excellent resistance to chlorides, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, etc., and can withstand acidic and alkaline media with a pH range of 2 to 14.

 

Titanium is not omnipotent: The corrosion resistance of titanium has a specific range. It is not resistant to hydrofluoric acid, high-temperature concentrated phosphoric acid, boiling concentrated hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid, non-volatile sulfuric acid, and dry chlorine gas. In these media, titanium will be rapidly corroded.


Surface condition: The corrosion resistance of titanium depends on its oxide film on the surface. Any action that damages this film (such as scratching, reducing environment) may reduce its corrosion resistance.


Cost-effectiveness: Titanium materials are expensive. The cost of titanium heating element is much higher than that of stainless steel or quartz heating tubes. Therefore, it is usually only used in strong corrosive environments where other metals cannot perform.
