Screw plug immersion heaters are constructed of hairpin bent tubular heating elements brazed or welded into threaded screw plugs. These heating elements are inserted through a threaded hole or through a threaded coupling attached to a tank or vessel for direct heating of liquids.The material can be stainless steel 304,321,316 incoloy800,840.It is used for heating liquid work environment, customer need to give the main components of the specific heat of liquid as well as the ideal installation so that we can set the threaded flange type electric heat pipe cooling zone. Meanwhile ,it is better to tell us the specific work environment pressure size, we can select screw in hot water heating element wall thickness and diameter of the flange thickness.
Screw plug immersion heater is installed using a threaded screw plug, usually 1 to 2 inches in diameter.It consists of heating elements welded to a screw plug, which is screwed into a threaded opening in the tank or vessel.The size is smaller and more compact compared to flange heaters. It is screwed directly into a threaded opening in the tank or vessel. Requires a compatible threaded opening.Utilizes thread sealants or gaskets are used to ensure a leak-free connection.
They are suitable for smaller tanks or vessels and applications where space is limited,ssed in residential, commercial, and smaller industrial applications, such as water heaters, oil heaters, and smaller process heating needs.
Our common screw plug heater include threaded cartridge heater, U-shaped heater element, W-shaped heater element.
The thread of cartridge heater and U-shaped heater is commonly used to express the external thread with M, such as M22*1.5mm, which refers to the thread with an external diameter of 22mm and a tooth spacing of 1.25mm.
Thread electric heater use G thread, relatively common G1, G1.5, G2, G2.5 and so on. They can also be represented by DN25, DN40, DN50, and DN65, respectively.
But many users do not know what is the size of the thread when they order it. Now I will teach you several common methods to determine the size of the thread.
1. Thread ring gauge
This is a professional tool for measuring thread. It can measure not only the diameter of thread but also the pitch of thread. However, one ring gauge can only measure fixed thread. If the thread size is relatively large, the cost is still relatively high, and the normal company will not use this tool.
2. Vernier calipers
This is a common tool for measuring thread, pipe diameter and length. It can only measure the diameter of the thread, can not measure the tooth spacing of the thread.
3. line measurement
If none of these tools are available, run a wire around the thread and measure the length of the thread by straightening it. Divide by 3.14 to find the diameter of the thread.
