Stainless steel water tank heating element

Description

As different water tank use different size heating element,so the assemble way of the stainless steel water tank heating element is different.

1.For small size water tank,we can use threaded cartridge heater element.The assemble way is like this:drill a hole with thread the same as the heater element.Screw in the cartridge heater from the outside.

2.For medium size water tank,we can use U shape or W shape heating element,they are equipped with fasteners.The assemble way is like this :drill a hole bigger than the the heating tube thread,pass through the hole with the fasteners side,put on the sealiing ring and screw the nut is OK.

They are installed by bolting to a matching flange welded to the tank wall or nozzle. Install less holes as possible on the water tank,otherwise it is difficult to replace and maintain in the future.If the water volume is small ,it require small power,if the water volume is large,it require big power heating element.

A stainless steel water tank heating element replacement can be quite inconvenient, leading to issues such as a lack of hot water. The following can explain how to do the replacement.

If you find the hot water supply is in shortage,you can check it by the following steps:

Turn Off the Power;Check Thermostat Settings: Make sure the thermostat is set to the right temperature.
Use an Ohmmeter: Check the resistance of the heating element using an ohmmeter. If the resistance is infinite or zero, the heating element is breakdown.

If it is cartridge heating element,it is to open a mounting hole on the water tank which is 1mm larger than the screw hole ,then insert the electric heater, press the sealing pad on the screw tooth, and tighten it through the nut.

If it is screw plug heater element,it is  to open the installation hole on the water tank, and then the female tooth ring is welded inside or outside the water tank, and the sealing gasket is added on the screw tooth through the female tooth ring to tighten;

Regarding the warranty,

It should be stored in a dry warehouse, if the surface is damp due to long-term placement, the insulation resistance should be measured with a megohm meter in use. If less than 1 megohm /500 volts, it should be placed in a drying oven at 200 degrees for drying.

Used for a long time, surface accumulation of thick pipe scale, oil scale should be regularly removed, otherwise it will reduce the heat transfer performance.

The heating area of the stainless steel heating element should be fully immersed in the water tank to avoid the heat loose.

What we should we pay attention to when we are designing?

1.First of all, the power design must meet the requirements of heating water, and the power per meter cannot exceed 3KW.

2.Confirm the installation position of the heater in water tank, normally it is installed on the side of the water tank.

3.Determine the liquid level height of the water tank, the heating area of the heater element must be fully submerged in water, if not, the leakage part should be reserved for cold areas.

4.If the water tank have holes ,the outer diamter of the heating element should be smaller than the openning holes.

5.If the water pressure of the tank exceed the 1.0MP,the thickness of the heater should bigger than 1.0mm.

6.If the water quality is relatively hard and easy to scale, stainless steel 316 corrosion resistant material can be used or anti-scale coating can be added.
