The sheath material of double ended tubular heater element can be different.It can be designed for use in most application.The metal sheath isolates and protects the resistor wire from the environment. At the same time it maximizes heat transfer capability to the work. Tubular elements can be bent to put the heat where it works best.

Our tubular heater use 80% Nickel 20% Chromium high grade coiled resistance wire as a heating core. This core is welded at both ends to pins that provide a cold section that varies in length depending on the application requirements. The coil-pin assembly is precisely centred inside a heavy gauge, oversized metal tube, and embedded inside a 96% pure, high-grade MgO insulating medium. This assembly is then compacted through a roll-reducing process that reduces the outside tube diameter to its final size and transforms the MgO matrix into a rock-hard solid that acts as an excellent heat transferring medium, as well as an electrical insulation with high dielectric strength.

Due to the manufacturing process, the double-ended tubular heater element has a 5 cm non-heating zone at each end. If it is necessary to extend the non-heating zone, please inform us before customization. If the watt density is too high, additional fin heat sinks can be added to enhance the heat dissipation effect.

The wiring method for double-ended electric heater includes Y or triangle type wiring, which is three-phase voltage, and series and parallel wiring is for single-phase voltage. When wiring, please be sure to select suitable heat-resistant wires according to the temperature of the wiring area. The terminals must be locked to prevent short circuits, which may cause leakage of the equipment and burn out the electric heating tubes.
