The cartridge heater process is relatively simple, but it does not allow a trace of neglect, its key lies in the internal resistance wire, the quality of the resistance wire will influence the heating element quality.
The combination of pipe diameter and template aperture should be considered in the production of cartridge heating element. If the diameter of the heating tube is too large, resulting in it cannot be loaded into the hole, and the expansion factor is considered, which brings inconvenience to the future maintenance. In addition, it is necessary to consider that the diameter of the tube can not be too small, and the vacancy between the hole wall can not be reserved too large, which affects the heat transfer effect and service life of the cartridge heater.
The hot runner is a heating component system which is used in injection molds to inject melted plastic particles into the mold cavity. The hot runner mold is a new structure that heats the runner and flow channel of a traditional mold or a three-plate mold, so that the flow channel and runner do not need to be removed during each forming process.
Disadvantages of the cartridge heater for hot runner system: When the existing cartridge heater is used in the hot runner for a long time, plastic particles are easily attached to the surface, causing the volume to increase and block the hot runner.
Cartridge heaters provide consistent heat to the hot runner manifold and nozzles, ensuring the plastic material remains in a molten state as it travels from the injection unit to the mold cavities.They help to get uniform temperature distribution across the system, preventing issues like cold spots, which can lead to material flow problems or inconsistent molding quality.
For the nozzle areas, cartridge heaters are inserted into the nozzle body to maintain the required temperature as the molten plastic is injected into the mold cavities.
The compact design of the cartridge heater allows them to be installed in tight spaces without disrupting the overall structure of the hot runner system.They are designed to afford high temperatures and thermal cycling, ensuring long-lasting performance in hot runner applications.
Over time, cartridge heaters in hot runner systems may wear out or lose efficiency. Regular inspection and testing of heaters ensure they are functioning properly.
Attention
Avoid the bending of the lead wire of the cartridge heater element.
Be careful not to damp. It is recommended to start with low pressure.
Control the temperature of heating element's lead outlet, flange and fixer.Conductor outlet temperature should below 130 ℃ and the flange temperature below 180 ℃.
Please do not knock or modify the cartridge heater element, otherwise it may cause damage to the heating element, short circuit, electric shock and other problems.
