When using the cartridge heaters,what should we pay attentions to?
1.The heating part of the cartridge heater should be fully immersed in the heating medium to avoid heat dissipation and exceed the allowable heating temperature to damage the electric heater. In addition, the leading part of the wire should be exposed outside the thermal insulation layer of the heater , so that this part should not be overheated and damaged.
2.The input power supply, the voltage should not exceed 10% of the rated voltage marked , if applicable to lower than the rated voltage, the heat generated by cartridge heater will also decrease.
3. Terminal should be kept clean and dry, on the contrary, it will reduce the insulation performance and be short-circuit breakdown, if the application of chemical corrosion, flammable, explosive and other liquid or gas environment, in case of accidents ,wiring part should be protected with insulation sealing device .
4.When heating some viscose and other substances, such as sodium nitrate, stearic acid, paraffin, etc., the power supply voltage should be reduced , and then increased to the rated voltage for heating when all melted into a liquid.
Performance indicators
1 .heating time of micro cartridge heater: under the test voltage, the element from the ambient temperature to the test temperature time should not be more than 15min;
2.Deviation of rated power: under full heating conditions, the deviation of rated power of components shall not exceed the range specified below, ±10% for components with rated power less than or equal to 100W. For components with rated power greater than 100W, +5% ~ -10% or 10W, the greater of the two;
3.Insulation resistance: the cold insulation resistance shall not be less than 50M ω during factory inspection;
