Cartridge heating elements optimize heat exchange to provide uniform heating of the application and are also used to heat very small masses with specific power and high temperatures.The most common way to heat the mold is the cartridge heating element . Because different equipment is used, the temperature of the mold is not the same. Therefore, the temperature requirements of the cartridge heating element for the mold are not the same. 

Cartridge heater is suitable for standard industrial power requirements, providing stable and efficient heating performance. It ensure efficient heating without excessive energy consumption.It can be used in the metal heating.

 

1.Preheating Dies and Molds

Purpose: Cartridge heaters are embedded into dies, molds, or tooling to preheat them to the desired temperature before the metalworking process begins. This ensures uniform heat distribution and improves the quality of the final product.
 

2. Forging Applications

Purpose: Cartridge heaters are used to maintain the temperature of the forging dies, which is critical to achieve the desired mechanical properties of the forged metal.
 

3.Maintaining Heat in Metal Injection Molding

Purpose: Used in metal injection molding, cartridge heaters help to keep the mold at a consistent temperature to ensure the proper flow and solidification of the metal.

Cartridge heaters are electric heating devices, so safety should be emphasized during use.

After all, accidents caused by electricity are very serious. 
It is allowed to operate under the following conditions.
A. The relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 95%, and there shall be no explosive or corrosive gases.
B. The working voltage should not exceed 1.1 times the rated value, and the casing should be effectively grounded.
C. Insulation resistance ≥1MΩ, dielectric strength: 2KV/1min.

The cartridge heating element should be properly positioned and fixed. The entire effective heating area must be fully immersed in the liquid or solid metal. It is strictly prohibited for dry burning. When scale or carbon deposits are found on the surface of the tube, they should be removed thoroughly before use to avoid affecting heat dissipation and shortening the service life.
