Silicon carbide heater is a kind of non-mental high temperature electric heating element. 

Typical sic heaters are rods or tubes, with diameters between 0.5 and 3 inches and lengths from 1 to 10 feet.


It is made from fine quality green silicon carbide as its main raw material. Silicon carbide heater have metalized ends for electrical connections, and they often have both connections at one end, with two helical slots which stop short of the other end.


Silicon carbide rod heater  is characterized by high use temperature, superior oxidation resistance, low corrosion, long service life, low creep, and easy installation  It is widely used in various electric heating element of glass,chemical, electronic material and so on.


Maximum element operating temperatures of the silicon carbide heater can be reacg to 1600 – 1650°C. High density element surface power loading (15W/cm2), approximately 5-10 times the output of Nichrome wire. High Mechanical strength throughout their operating temperature range.SIC heater is the most popular economical heating element, capable of operating in hot and harsh environments.
