In the sector of washing machine heater, an accurate knowledge of the phenomena of corrosion is an essential element for the correct design of electrical immersion heaters. The choice of materials and the correct technical sizing of the element, enable us to ensure excellent technical, electro-mechanical and anti-corrosion properties of its products.

In fact, the heating element is an electric heater that allows you to turn cold tap water into hot water for washing. The tube can be made in the form of the letter W or V. The conductor inside has a high electrical resistance and allows you to heat the water to high temperatures.

The heating elements are covered with a special dielectric insulator that conducts the heat correctly to the steel housing. The ends of the working spirals are welded to the energized contacts. The thermal unit located next to the spiral measures the water temperature in the tank of the washing unit. Thanks to the control unit, the modes are activated and at the same time the commands are sent to the washing machine heating elements.

The element is heated intensively and the heat generated heats the water in the washing machine drum to a predetermined temperature. When the required indicators are reached, they are recorded by sensors and transmitted to the control unit. After that, the device switches off automatically and the water stops heating. The washing machine heating elements can be straight or curved.

To find the heating element, first remove the back plate. After removing the panel and putting it back in place, you can see the plastic water tank at the bottom. There will be contacts for the stainless steel washing machine heating element (TEN) and contacts for the temperature sensor in the tank. However, in some cases, the heating element contacts may be located on the side and the side plates need to be removed to reach them.

It should be noted that it is not necessary to remove the heating element when measuring resistance. In addition, the contact of the NTC can be found near the heating element or between the contacts.

Replacing the heating element is a simple task that can be done with ease. To do this, you need to unscrew and remove the faulty component and replace it with a new one. Once all fasteners have been tightened, a thorough inspection must be carried out to ensure that the tank is properly sealed.

Produced in titanium, stainless steel and with special alloys of nickel or chrome, washing machine heater is equipped with thermal self-protection devices with adjustable intervention time, consisting of a single or double thermal fuse connected in series to one or both phases of the heating element. In addition to these, an external system protection can be studied to provide the temperature control through an NTC probe.

In areas with hard water, Samsung washing machine heating element can make hot water to help mitigate the negative effects of mineral deposits on clothing and the washing machine itself, as it can dissolve minerals more effectively.
