Description

 

Plastic Injection Mica Band Heating Element is used for heating tool in plastic process industry. Dimensions are from Φ 40 X 15 mm up to more in steps of 1 mm.

Maximal working temperature is 360 C. Specific strength up to 4 W/cm2. Normal performance for line connection is 230 V, 400 V. Larger performance can be made on three phase connection. Construction of connection according to agreemant. Normal performance of connection on form of vertically mounted connection box, high temperature European-plug male, bolts and fixed mounted shielded temperature resistant cable. Holes for thermo probes by demand.

Mica band heater can withstand voltage spikes, resist moisture, and is flexible enough to conform to the curvatures of plastic molding machine barrels. Since mica is also a heat insulator, only top grade mica, which is inorganic, has high temperature stability, and is "paper thin" is used. This "paper thin" characteristic enables a quick transfer of heat through the mica to the outside steel sheath, thus transferring the heat away from the red hot internal resistance ribbon winding.

 

If your mica band heater has post terminals, make sure you are using high temperature ring terminals. Standard ring terminals will cook to the point they become brittle and can easily break causing a short. If your mica heater bands or strip heater terminations are not covered with a terminal box, consider using ceramic terminal covers.

After installing a new mica band heater, we suggest that you come back to it after fifteen minutes of operating time. After proper actions are taken to assure there is no power going to the heater and that the heater will not cycle on, re-tighten your straps or clamping mechanism.Make a habit of checking the tightness of the band heater periodically and you will be surprised at how you can increase the life of your band heaters.

For widths 5" to 10 ", specify Configuration 532.

Two-piece, post terminals on each end of each half,  separate strap. When specifying wattage and voltage, give wattage and voltage for each individual half.      product-1-1

 Widths from 1" to 5" For widths 5" to 10", specify Configuration 533.

One-piece heater, post terminals located side-by-side on one end, and separate straps. product-1-1

 Diameters from 3" to 14" 

Widths from 2 1/2" to 10"
